About Prof. Lim Soon Hock

With more than 30 years of experience as a board director, C-level executive and serial entrepreneur, Mr Lim Soon Hock is one of the most successful leaders in the business world.

Through his strong leadership, extraordinary foresight and sharp business acumen, Mr Lim has helmed many companies in a wide range of industries, from aviation, electronics & manufacturing to homeland security, healthcare and education, bringing them from strength to strength.

Mr Lim is highly skilled in business transformation & acceleration, management mentorship, capital raising, and technology incubation. One of his most notable achievements has been turning Compaq Computer Asia Pacific from a mediocre under-US$30m annual revenue company to a US$1 billion company in 7 years. Considering the tough business environment and the tremendous challenge experienced by the computer industry, this high annual double-digit growth has borne strong testament to his ability. His other key achievements include bringing three companies to public listing as well as leading eight successful mergers and acquisitions.

About Mr. Axel Chan

Over a span of more than 30 years as an advocate & solicitor in Singapore, Mr Axel Chan has represented his clients in a large number of civil and commercial cases at various levels, from Subordinate Court to Government Committee of Inquiry, Court of Appeal & Supreme Court. Mr Chan possesses a great wealth of knowledge and experience of advocacy in commercial contracts, international contractual dispute, equity transaction and conveyance, as well as legal due diligence for mergers & acquisitions.  As a seasoned and successful legal practitioner, many of his cases have been presented in the Law Reports and have been quoted in a leading work on Civil Procedure.  Mr Chan has been holding various key positions in Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs committees.  

 

Apart from his legal expertise, Mr Chan has tremendous experience in risk management and business continuity planning, ranging from strategic review of business risk and policy making to leading and operationalising risk management & emergency planning in a huge government organisation.

About Dr. Marie Lamy

With a keen interest in global health policy, Marie brings specialised knowledge on access to quality medicines to improve health security in the Asia Pacific Region. Marie holds a PhD in Public Health Policy from the London school of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She is currently working as the Director (Access & Policy) for the Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance, based at Biopolis in Singapore.

 

Marie has previously worked as a consultant for an Asian Development Bank funded project on regulatory systems profiling and systems strengthening in the Greater Mekong Subregion. She was a project manager for i+solutions, an international not-for profit consultancy organisation on supply chain management and worked at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Health Policy in Singapore as a Research Associate on global health governance in Southeast Asia.

 

Marie holds a Master of Laws in Public International Law, as well as Master in Political Sciences, and a Bachelor Degree (Hons) in International Relations and Political Sciences.
